News and Noynoy
Speaking of news, I read before that news is just gossip mainstreamed. We Filipinos should be informed and find things out for ourselves and not just rely on what the media says. The winning of NA (which can also stand for not applicable, btw. lol) is but a painful reminder of how the media can manipulate us. The over publicized drama of his parents, the popularity of his too-talkative sister, and his campaign commercials that featured many famous artists and promised that he wouldn’t steal from us carried him and appealed to the emotions of many Filipinos causing them not to think who would be the fittest to run the country but that NA was ‘kawawa and inaapi’ and that they should vote for him. NA has been in congress and in the senate for years and based on his track record, he has no track record. He does NOT have the ability nor the capacity to run our country. It is with regret that the Philippines will now have to stay dormant for 6 years unless by some luck, a miracle happens. This coming 6 years will hopefully be a lesson to us Filipinos that it is not enough to just have a ‘heart’ but to have the ability and mental capacity to lead a powerful but misguided country like ours.
